other popular ingredients blend with Oxford’s lively mix of restaurants,

and cosmopolitan buzz.
You will find a number of official Walking Tours at the Information Centre in
Broad Street. Some of the must see historic sites include the Bodleian Library,
the Carfax Tower, Christ Church Cathedral, St Aldates Church, St Ebbes Church,
Sheldonian Theatre, University Church of St Mary the Virgin, the Saxon Tower
of St Michael at the North Gate, Christ Church College in St Aldate, and there
are a great selection of Museums including the Ashmolean Museum in Beaumont

Collection of Musical Instruments, The Museum of Oxford is dedicated to
the history of the City and the University. For over a thousand years Oxford
has played a central role in English History and the story of Oxford is brought
to life through original artefacts, college treasures, room settings and an
introductory audio-visual presentation, narrated by Tony Robinson (ah well,
he has to have employment of some sorts!). For the gardeners and shoppers there
are the Oxford University Botanic Gardens in Rose Lane, or the Covered Market
in the High Street.
If walking is too energetic for you then an easier way to see the sites is the
City Sightseeing Open Top Bus Tour with 20 stops throughout the City of Oxford.
And while in Oxford it's well worth finding the time to visit the nearby world
famous Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. You will probably
need longer than a weekend break to do justice to a visit to Oxford!
